Lynn Putney: Artist.
Lynn Putney received her BFA in intaglio printmaking from the Iowa Print Group (University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA) with Special Honors and High Distinction in 1986. She relocated to Washington, DC in 1987 where she has lived, worked and exhibited ever since. Her current studio practice focuses on painting and drawing, using primarily casein on wood and charcoal on paper. Lynn's imagery threads the space between abstraction and representation, often rooted in recognizable forms, but layered, evocative and resonant, providing ample latitude for individual interpretation and associative responses. Her work is represented in numerous private collections, the DC Art Bank and the John A. Wilson Building City Hall Art Collection. Lynn's most recent solo exhibition was in September 2014 at 410 GooDBuddy in the Bloomingdale neighborhood of Washington, DC. Website: lynnputney.com.
